Audience consideration
The platform serves a diverse audience, including policymakers, public authorities, businesses, researchers, NGOs, and citizens. The experience needed to balance institutional authority with clarity and accessibility, ensuring that complex environmental topics and regulatory content remain understandable and easy to navigate. Trust, multilingual accessibility, and structured information architecture were central to the design approach.
The objective was to introduce structural clarity and system-level consistency without restricting commercial flexibility or promotional agility
Project rationale
The objective was to create a structured and trustworthy digital environment that reflects the European Commission’s institutional identity while supporting efficient access to policy information, reports, case studies, and updates. The design reinforces credibility through consistency, visual restraint, and clear hierarchy.
UX approach
The experience prioritizes clarity and structured navigation, guiding users efficiently through complex policy content. Modular layouts, accessibility, and performance form the foundation of the platform.
