Tablet interface for retail sales representatives

This project involved designing a tablet-based service used by COSMOTE retail sales representatives to process payments for electricity and other public services directly in-store.

The system allows customers to visit a COSMOTE shop and complete utility-related transactions through a guided, assisted service flow handled by staff.

Approach

Step-based flow design

• Transactions were broken into clear, guided steps.

• Each screen focused on a single action:

• Customer identification

• Service selection

• Payment details

• Confirmation

This reduced cognitive overload and minimized mistakes.

Tablet-optimized layout
Because the interface was designed exclusively for tablets:

  • Touch targets were enlarged

  • Forms were vertically structured

  • Key actions were clearly separated

  • Visual hierarchy supported quick scanning

The layout accounts for standing usage in retail counters.

Clarity over decoration

The visual language is clean and neutral, reinforcing trust and professionalism.

Typography hierarchy and spacing were prioritized over visual effects, ensuring the system supports task completion rather than visual distraction.

Outcome

The final design delivers a guided, low-friction transaction flow, reduced risk of human error, faster onboarding for sales representatives, and a scalable interface adaptable to multiple public services

The system transforms complex public service payments into a structured, assisted in-store experience.
